When your Grandson goes in the Military

When your Grandson goes in the Military

It has been a whirlwind for about the last 4 weeks.  My grandson, Jesse, has been talking about enlisting in the Marines.  Part of me was very excited about it because I know it would lead to discipline, knowledge, training, trust in his fellow soldiers and more.  But....the other part of me is having the fear of giving yourself to the military and being at their beck and call and possibly having to go to battle.  To top it all off he wanted infantry.  We tried to talk him out of it but he wasn't having it!!!!

He went to the recruiter about 4 weeks ago and now he is gone!!!  He shipped out April 1st to San Diego.  We hurried and threw a going away party for him that was a huge success.  Doc and I got to go to St. Louis and witness his swearing in and give him one last hug until we see him again in July!

Do you have a loved one in the military?  If so, how have you dealt with it?  Please hit reply and share this with me so I know how to handle the next 13 weeks without him.

You see, he started coming to out house to eat dinner about 2 years ago.  He was here 4 nights a week regularly.  He worked 3 nights a week and when that was over then he came more often.  We could count on him to help us with stuff around here like getting things off top shelves, weed eating, mowing, taking care of the animals and so much more.  We really miss him.

So I am diving even deeper into my art.  This piece is titled "Fly Away and Rest".  Right now that is what I would love to do.

I created a short quiz that takes just about 2 minutes to complete. It’s a simple way to check in with yourself and see where you are in your spiritual journey—or what you might need spiritually right now.

I’d love to hear your results! Just reply to this email with your outcome—I can’t wait to see what you discover. Here is the link for the quiz.

Stay dry and safe!
