The Desires of My Heart
In quiet prayer, I seek Your face,
O Lord, whose love and endless grace,
Surrounds my soul with peace so deep,
In You my heart begins to leap.
You know the longings deep inside,
The dreams I carry, far and wide,
With every hope and every plea,
You hear and answer faithfully.
The world may fail and skies may gray,
But You, O God, will guide my way.
You know the path my heart must take,
And in Your hands, my dreams awake.
For You are good, and all You give,
Makes every weary moment live.
The desires You place in my heart,
Are Your reflections, where You start.
With every step, You lead me on,
Through valleys low and hills so strong.
For in the quiet, I will find,
The treasures You have left behind.
And though I wait with patience true,
I trust Your will will see me through.
For You will give, in ways unknown,
The desires of my heart, full-grown.
In Your time, You will unfold,
A love more precious than pure gold,
For all I seek is found in You,
My Savior, faithful, kind, and true.
